Why choose Flexographic Printing

At Focus Label we only supply our customers with the very best labelling machinery, today we will introduce you into the world of labelling printing - Flexographic  Printing.

Flexography (Flexo) is another form of printing. This machine uses a flexible relief plate that’s basically a modern version of a letterpress, which can be used for printing on almost any type of substrate, including plastic, metallic films, cellophane, and paper.

Flexographic printing is versatile because it’s one of the fastest printing processes in packaging for films and corrugated containers, making flexographic printing perfect for the consumer who needs labels daily.

Our flexographic printing machines use flexible printing plates made from rubber or plastic. These are inked with an image which is rotated onto a cylinder and then transferred onto the chosen material.

Want to see this machine in action? Click here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuiwwjrCWDQ

At Focus Label we have various machines that are available for numerous flexographic applications, if you have any more specialist requirements or are unable to find a particular printer that suits your needs then we can direct you further, please call us on 01949 836 223 to see what we can do for you.

Changing your company’s logo

We should all know that the purpose of a logo is to represent your company brand.   This being said your logo design should be unique, give high impact and, if possible, leave an unforgettable impression.

Many different companies have gone through a “logo change” such as Pepsi & Nokia which brings me to my question

When is it time to change your logo?

There are many different reasons when you should change your logo, like for instance:
Merging two companies

If you merge your company into another company, this is a very common thing. You can either create a whole new logo or merge your two logos together, so the original customer shouldn’t get too confused about what is going on.

Changing the companies name

Perhaps the meaning of your companies name has changed over the years, or the market has changed or you need to essentially “keep up with the times”. If you do change your brands name it would be advised to change the company’s logo too.

Logo Revamp

A successful company will see a growth of employees they have and have the potential or expand into a new market. So changing your logo will tell your employees and customers that you are ready for the tasks ahead if the change in the logo should be an evolution.

Remember that a successful logo design will be effective in conveying your brand message and image.  Your logo design should serve the purpose of supporting your business and make sure that you implement your logo on all your products usual on products label.

Unique Christmas packaging

Companies each year will change their packaging to the theme of Christmas, the reason for this is to get people to buy your products by making them stand out from the crowd.

In this blog I will be writing about the companies and products that have gone the extra mile in the name of Christmas and perhaps that you will be inspired to try something new and implement them into your company’s designs.

The first Christmas themed product is ...

Christmas Tea! - Designed by: Mint – Maja Matas, Kresimir Miloloza, Jozo Matas

This special Christmas Tea is a pun on Christmas Tree and the bags are even in the same shape as Christmas trees, all for the spirit of Christmas. On-Top of that there is a secret meaning to this tea as the trees can be split into two separate tea bags meaning that these tea bags are meant to be shared on Christmas.

The second Christmas themed product is ...

Coca Cola are very famous for bringing Christmas to our home, from having a Santa Clause on their packaging to the popular Christmas lorry featuring on TV adverts and in real life!

This year, Coca Cola has introduced a new label on their cola bottles that can turn into a bow, as you can see from the picture above, however you will have to make the bow yourself or pay a little extra and get it with a bow already in a gift box – essentially it’s the exact the same flavour of coke but with a bow ribbon, but people will go and purchase the pre made bow ribbons because of the festive season.  It also compliments their existing ‘share a coke with...’ campaign and emphasises that a bottle of Coca Cola is a gift within its own right.

At focus label we can care for all your packaging needs as we have over 30 years of previous experience in manufacturing and with our friendly staff we will help you to the best of our abilities.

Different ways to make your label stand out

In our last blog we wrote about how to make your product sand out from the crowd trying to identify what makes you unique...

Since we are a labelling company we thought it would be fitting to write about what different types of labels you can get.

The Standard Label
Yes, the standard label. You can’t go wrong with the original label. As long as you don’t forget about the essential things you need to put on your label
If you need “brushing” up on what you need on a label please see below:
·         Easy to read
·         Easy to understand
·         Not Misleading
And of course you will need to show any “warnings”
If you’re selling food you must provide the list of ingredients that has been used in your product.
If you like to have a closer look about what you must show on your label please click here

Textured Label
Make your label different from the competition with textured labels. This will essentially get the consumers to touch and to hold your product and hopefully they will take into consideration weather to buy the product or not.

Embossed Label
Make you product come to life with Embossed labels. You can slightly raise an image or text to make it stand out, it essentially helps you to make a point by drawing attention to your product.
There are many different types of embossed options you can go for.

·         Foil embossing
·         Embossed stickers
·         And even seals
The possibilities are unlimited!

So why don’t you come and have a look through our site to see what different things we can offer you, our experienced staff are always here to answer your questions. So ring us on 01949 836 223 to make our product stand out from the rest.
